Anton “Tony” Dahlerbruch (Principal)
Illustrating a life-long passion for helping people, serving the public and leading organizations, Tony Dahlerbruch has served over 30 years in local government and in numerous leadership positions in professional organizations.
Recognized as an excellent problem solver, communicator, and effective leader, Tony’s experience includes positions in most every city department during 17 years in Beverly Hills, CA ultimately as Deputy City Manager; 6 years as City Manager in Rolling Hills, California and 6 years as City Manager in Palos Verdes Estates, California.
With a city management career known for its integrity, hard work, responsiveness, focus on service, strategic guidance, knowledge of City services, creativity, initiative, and ethics, Tony’s strengths include his understanding of governance, application of best practices, team building, goal setting, implementation of organizational change, staff coaching and mentoring, team building workshops, facilitation and communication skills.
Career highlights also include serving the City Managers Department of the League of California Cities as a two term Director on the League’s Executive Board, President of City Managers Department of the League of California Cities, and as Regional Vice President on the Executive Board of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Tony also fulfills a life-long passion of helping cities, mentoring and coaching, and finding talent for cities as an Executive Recruiter for the well-known & highly successful firm of Peckham & McKenney Executive Search.
Upon ultimately retiring from city management in 2019, Tony founded the consulting firm of City Management Advisors to support local government in the optimization and improvement of organizational leadership & effectiveness, services, efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. To assist cities in achieving and maintaining excellence, City Management Advisors has a breadth of knowledge in the areas of finance/budget, human resources, planning, public works, public safety, communications and organizational development.
